There's quite an amount of material here - perhaps too much! Most interesting, for me at least, was exploring in my PhD a neglected repertory of stylistically progressive church music in 17th-century Rome, forgotten because no major names contributed. Aside from that, work uncovering the context for Handel's Latin church music in Rome and proposing a theory for the performance of Monteverdi 1610 Vespers music are the most engaging studies.
The composer, Frederick Delius, wishes to be buried with his wife in a beautiful churchyard in the South of England - his remains were transferred to Limpsfield in 1935, the year after his death. I have been keen to revive the memory of Jelka, his wife, who was a notable artist, who studied in Paris alongside some of the most notable artists of her age. Below you can see my talk on her, recorded in Limpsfield Church.
